All our DL NCR pads are printed on 80gsm NCR paper measuring 99mm x 210mm. This is the smallest size NCR we do which makes it perfect for businesses on the move. Our pads hold 50 complete sets in total which means if you order a 2-part NCR product, then the pad will have 100 sheets glued together to give you 50 invoices or receipts! NCR stands for No Carbon Required which indicates how NCR paper does the same job as carbon paper but without any carbon involved! This allows for a better, cleaner, and more professional way of duplicating documents. Some businesses still use old-fashioned carbon paper today which involves using an ordinary sheet of paper over the top of a sheet of carbon paper (usually blue). When pressure is applied with a pen or pencil, the carbon copies itself onto the sheet or sheets below so that an exact copy of the details is made.
Carbon paper, however, is well known for being messy as smears can cause inaccurate information to be recorded. Our personalised NCR pads on the other hand allow you to still duplicate the information you need but in a clean, professional and efficient way. We also offer DL NCR sets delivered nationwide. Instead of using those pesky sheets of messy and annoying carbon paper, NCR products are made up of several pieces of NCR sheets or paper. The back of each sheet is coated with a special micro-encapsulated dye that magically reacts with the top of the paper below when pressure is applied to the top sheet. This means there’s no more need for that pesky blue carbon paper!
When you write on the top with your pen, you get a copy of the original below, so you can have a copy for yourself and one for your customer. Trust us when we say all NCR products are so much better than carbon copy pads, leaving you without all the mess and inaccuracy.
Normally, custom printed NCR pads comprise of 50 sets of NCR paper (carbonless copy paper). The glued pads are typically secured by glue at the top with a cardboard backing. If you’d rather not use a backing board, we recommend you take a look at our NCR forms or NCR sets. All of our NCR pads come with a loose writing shield as standard.
NCR products can have a multitude of uses. Most businesses use them for creating multiple delivery notes, order forms, accident forms and everything else in between! Our DL-sized NCR is a third of the size of our A4 version. It is also worth noting that our pads are different to our books; they are still bound to one edge however books have a perforated edge, allowing you to tear off one sheet and maintain one in the book. With pads, all copies within the set are removed after use. Pads are ideal for use by businesses that want to file away their copy and give another to a customer or separate department.
As with any piece of branded stationery, the design of your 2 part NCR product or 3-part NCR product should look professional and follow suit to the rest of your brand message. We recommend including your logo, company name and contact details so customers can quickly establish an identity for your business as well as contact you with ease.
Our printed DL products can come with numbering and drilling if that’s what you need and we use digital and litho printing at great prices.
If sequential numbering is needed on your NCR product printing, please supply two artwork files when you place your order: one for print and one showing the start number position information as a guide. This may seem obvious, but we think that it’s worth noting! You can have them without black numbering if you don’t need them on your receipt pads.
Our pads are available printed in black ink or you can have them printed full colour. All artwork is best supplied in CMYK when you send your print ready artwork to us.
Our custom-printed carbonless invoice pads can be printed single or double sided, but please note if you want to order double sided NCR pads, we would recommend using 70% black for the back to avoid any show-through. Typically the back is used for terms and conditions and other important information.
