All our A4 pads are printed on 80gsm NCR paper. The A4 size is ideal for many businesses as it’s still compact enough to take out on the road with you but still has plenty of room for all that important information. We offer duplicate NCR pads and triplicate NCR pads. Each pad holds 50 complete sets in total, which ultimately means if you order a 2-part A4 NCR product, then the pad would have 100 sheets glued together to give you 50 order pads or delivery notes!
We also print in white and black ink and in full colour on other sizes including A5 Pads which are half the size, A6 Pads a quarter of the size and DL Pads. All are products are delivered free nationwide.
NCR stands for ‘No Carbon Required’ and reflects how NCR paper does the same job as blue carbon paper but without the use of any messy carbon! Many businesses, even now, still use carbon-coated paper which involves using an ordinary sheet of paper over the top of a sheet of carbonised paper (usually blue). When pressure is applied with a pen or pencil, the carbon copies itself onto the sheet or sheets below so that an exact copy of the details is made.
Carbonised paper is known for being very messy, however, and regularly smudges causing inaccurate and illegible information to be recorded. Our NCR pads in A4 on the other hand do not use any carbon-coated paper and instead allow you to multiply the information you need but in a clean, professional and efficient way.
Instead of using messy carbon sheets, our NCR products are made up of several pieces of carbonless paper. The back of each sheet is coated with a special micro-encapsulated dye and once pressure is applied, it reacts with the top of the paper below to create a copy of the information transcribed. This is so much better than those traditional carbon copy pads, offering less mess and perfect precision!
Carbonless pads can have a wide range of uses but most businesses use them for creating multiple copies of important documents like order forms, accident forms, receipt pads, delivery forms, waste transfer notes, gas safety records and so on.
Our pads come with 50 sets per pad that typically are glued at the top. You write on the top sheets to create duplicate copies below. Meanwhile, our NCR forms are glued together into individual sets. These both come with loose writing shields as standard, however, we can offer a fixed card writing shield on our pads should you need them. Our NCR books, on the other hand, have the bonus of perforation along one edge meaning copies you have created can be stored inside for safekeeping.
As the name suggests, 2 part duplicate pads mean you will have 2 copies – typically one for you and one for your customer. Meanwhile, 3 part NCR products come with 3 sheets – one for you, the customer and perhaps another for a different department. As an example, if you ordered one pad with 2 parts, it would be made of 100 sheets per pad. Please note, if are ordering double-sided NCR pads, we would recommend using 70% black for the back to avoid any show-through.
