You can choose to have them printed in full colour or choose to have your NCR product printed in mono (black and white). The choice is up to you!
Our sets are printed on 80gsm NCR paper as standard, measuring to 148mm by 210mm. This is a great size for carrying in your bag while you’re on the go, but it can still hold lots of information. We have both 2 and 3-copy NCR sets for you to choose from.
These differ from our A5 3 part NCR pads and NCR Books. For example, they don’t come with perforation and instead have sheets glued together on one edge. Sets do not require a grey backing board as they are only bound together. All are delivered free nationwide.
NCR Sets are handy business tools that provide you with multiple copies of the same information. In the past, most businesses used blue carbon paper which involved using an ordinary sheet of paper over the top of a sheet of carbon paper – most of us will of seen this at some point. When pressure is applied with a pen or pencil, the carbon transfers from the blue sheet onto the paper below, so you received a copy of the details. However, this was, and still is, incredibly messy, and the information is easy to smudge.
Thankfully, the introduction of specialist NCRÂ paper has solved all of these issues! It has provided an accurate and effortless way for tradesmen and businesses to duplicate or even quadruplicate their hand-written documents accurately and professionally. Remember NCR stands for no carbon required!
Rather than using messy and inaccurate carbon products, NCR books and sets are made up of several pieces of specialist NCR paper covered with a special micro-encapsulated dye. The paper is glued together in sets of 2 or 3 so that when you apply pressure when writing, the information transfers across all sheets and you have cloned copies of the original.
A5 NCR Sets are used by a wide range of businesses, most commonly tradesmen that need to write out multiple timesheets, delivery notes or receipts. They can be used for any situation where you may need a record of something. Carbonless copy paper sheets are glued along the top typically but they can be glued on the short edge too!
Our A5 NCR sheets are like our A5 NCR pads in a lot of ways. Pads are where 50 sets or sheets are glued together, and bound as a pad with a card back. Our Sets are not bound together but instead, sets remain as individuals at all times. Don’t worry, they still work the same and we still use the same special NCR paper. In light of this, there is no need for a writing shield. Like our custom NCR pads, you still write on the top sheet of sets and it copies to the bottom sheet.

Knowing which size you need is important before you start designing. Like our NCR Pads, our sets are available in A6 or DL as well as A5 and A4 sizes so you can be sure there’s a size out there perfect for you. Numbering and drilling is also available on all of our NCR products as standard and with no extra charges!
If you have chosen to have sequential numbering on your A5 NCR Sets, please supply us with two files. One for us to print from and one showing the numbering position information as a guide. We require this for all of our NCR printing, since having your numbering position as a guide, we can turn around your order even faster. It also helps to know which start number is required too!Â
If you are ordering double-sided NCR Sets, we would suggest using 70% black for the reserve to avoid any show-through on the individual sheets. We offer free artwork checks with all our personalised NCR pads printing so don’t fret if you’re new to creating print ready artwork.
Once you have finished placing your order, whether that is for one of our NCR forms or 2 part invoice pads, we check that your artwork is suitable for printing. We make sure your design has space for any drilling or numbering and you have taken account for bleed. We also check positioning of numbers too should there be a number required.
We always send a screen proof of what the final product will look like for you to approve before printing. Then when you approve and we are happy, we move your order into our production queue.
It is then that we look at what paper colours you have chosen and begin to print your design onto our carbonless paper. Once it has worked its way through our production processes and we have checked it meets our high quality levels, we dispatch your order to any UK mainland address. We offer a free delivery service with a next working day courier.
This is dependent on many factors, including the specification of your order. Typically shorter runs are 5 working days whereas longer, more complex runs can take as long as 7-10 days.
