All our A4 NCR Books are printed on 80gsm NCR paper measuring to 210mm by 297mm. This is the most common size of traditional paper and is perfect for fitting on large amount of information. They are available in 2 part and 3 part NCR books, allowing you to have 2 or 3 copies of that all-important information. All our books hold 50 individual NCR sets in total; this means that if you ordered a 2-part A4 NCR product, then each book would have 100 sheets glued together giving you 50 sets per book!
Our personalised NCR books are available in 2 sizes: A4 and A5, the latter being half the size of a typical A4 sheet of paper. Both products are delivered nationwide. Books are always perforated for easy removal of documents but not all sheets are perforated. The last one in the set has no perforation so one copy always remains fast in the book.Â
Custom printed NCR books contain 50 NCR carbonless sets in each book. Commonly used as invoice books or receipt books, these carbonless books are perfect in either duplicate or triplicate form. We do get asked for 4 part or quadruplicate stapled NCR books and we can quote for them too. Simply contact us with your requirements! No matter what you order from us we offer a high print quality.
NCR stands for ‘No Carbon Required’. Still to this day, a lot of businesses use carbon paper which involves using an ordinary sheet of typical paper over the top of a sheet of blue carbon paper. When pressure is applied when writing, the carbon applies onto the sheet below so that an exact copy of the details is made.
Carbon paper is known for being messy and smudges can cause inaccurate information to be presented. This is ideal when you’re wanted to relay important information like delivery notes and quotes. To avoid this, our A4 NCR books with special NCR paper allow you to still duplicate information in a clean, efficient and professional way.
Although they are the same size as our A4 NCR Pads, our NCR books come with the top sheets perforated – this means you retain a copy at all times within the book. If you were thinking of having a triplicate NCR Book then the first 2 sheets would be perforated and the last one would stay fixed in the book.
Instead of using a sheet of messy carbon paper, NCR books are made up of several pieces of specialist NCR paper. The back of each sheet is coated with a special micro-encapsulated pigment that reacts with the top of the paper below when pressure is applied. This means you get a perfectly accurate copy of the original, so you have a copy for yourself and one for your customer. NCR books make copying important information super easy.Â
We take your customised artwork file and your order specifications so that we can work out sheets and the colours needed for the bottom sheets. They are printed in full colour, collated and numbered if needed. They are stapled on one edge and high-grade spine tape. The top copy of the set is always white perfect for when you write on the top. This top copy in the book is perforated as it is typically for your customer, the last copy in the set stays in the book for your records.
All of our books, pads and sets come with free loose writing shields as standard however you can choose to have a fixed wrap-around card cover should you wish!
NCR books can have many uses, but because of their quick and easy duplication, a lot of companies use them for creating multiple copies of invoices, delivery notes, receipts, order forms and accident forms. We offer free delivery as standard with shorter runs being out for delivery in 5-7 working days.
As with any piece of branded stationery, the design of your A4 books should look professional and follow suit to the rest of your brand message. We would always advise including your name and contact details so customers can quickly establish who to contact.
We offer free drilling on our books of 50 carbonless paper as standard. You can choose between 2 or 4 holes on our duplicate and triplicates too. NCR products are the most reliable way to create duplicates of those all-important forms.
If you need numbering on your custom NCR books, please supply two files; one for print and one showing the numbering position as a guide.
We can offer NCR books printed in full colour and printed in black and white. If you are going to print double-sided NCR books, we suggest using 70% black for the reverse to avoid any show-through.
When you send us your artwork, we do a free artwork check and will send you a proof PDF to approve before printing. This is so we don’t waste any NCR sheets.
